I would like to offer a heart felt tribute to a true talent. One of the shining lights of the entertainment world and a cherished member of the Wam Bam family. Most importantly a real friend, Mr Jason Wood.

Jason sadly passed away yesterday, Saturday 20th Feb, and was scheduled to appear that night at Wam Bam to premiere his new Vegas act.

The world has lost an incredible talent and words can’t describe how much he’ll be missed.

He loved Wam Bam and I remember the first time we met, he was in raptures about my suicide bomber routine and insisted I perform it for him at his own Variety night at the Hospital Club. He was a Wam Bam favourite and could raise a smile even amongst the most hardened critic.

I remember most fondly his advice about my new Gary Glitter routine which gave me the winning formula to polish the act. He had an eye for detail and a sense of comedy that I could only dream of.

We had plans to conquer Vegas together and bring variety entertainment back with a vengeance. We were both so passionate about that and it drew us together, which is why I vow to continue that dream. Variety is here Jason, but it won’t be the same without you.
